Objective and aims 

The main objective of this Work Package of the AWARE project is to increase the effectiveness and added value of research on animal welfare in new and candidate EU countries through the facilitation of mobility and exchange of young researchers (at both PhD and postdoc level) within the European Research Area.

To achieve this main objective, the Work Package has the following specific aims: 

1. To adapt the “Training and Mobility Desk“ created in Welfare Quality^® to the specific objectives of the current project, by updating the self evaluation questionnaire and job offer proposal as a help and guideline to build the application of the applicant and the proposal of the host institutions, respectively,
2. To promote active participation of research institutions of new and candidate EU countries to the European Research Area on animal welfare trough the use of the Mobility Desk,
3. To evaluate the functioning of the AWARE Mobility Desk and its sustainability after the project.

Self-evaluation of applicants and job offers now possible 

The self-evaluation questionnaire and job offer questionnaire (Task 4.1) have been elaborated and tested in a sample of students and potential host teams. Both questionnaires are now available on the website of the AWARE project in order to help candidates to buid their application and host institutions to look for a candidate for their host proposal.
